The problem seems complex, there is an opportunity to place ourselves in order, think a little differently for survival of all. I could forsee the challenge of restoring the basic things in coming days, if not taken seriously now, things like this will become unmanagable very soon. Only government agencies cannot do alone.

This post provides such an interesting perspective to waste management and the social side of it all. Some woman has found it to be her duty to keep her street clean for all these years and has earned respect, at least in a small way. I like how you just wandered into this. That is the best way to do learn, Michael and I confirmed. When you look for something you confirm what you already knew but when you “wing it” you discover what you never could have imagined (okay, that last bit is me talking not Michael, so I can’t say he represents that last bit.) I am interested to hear more of your long term plans and what you hope to do with research when you are done the Fulbright. I am doing similar research in Africa with the intent of starting a for-profit waste management company to turn the waste into resources. I look forward to more posts and hope to talk to you or even meet you someday.
